Aiseesoft iPad Transfer is a very complete backup utility. It can be used not only with the iPad but with other iOS devices as well. I did most of my testing with an iPad 2, but I found that the iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4th generation can also work with this app. Your device has got to be able to sync with iTunes for it to work with this utility.
Once your device is detected, it will be loaded and listed on the left part of the screen. Below its name, you will see a list of things that you can backup. With my iPad 2, I could backup my movies, music, ringtones and pictures. If you have a lot of pictures, you will notice that the app takes a bit to load them all, but you can browse them as they load. To backup something, you simply select the file by checking the box next to it and click on the "Export files to PC" button. Aiseesoft iPad Transfer also lets you import files into your devices, and it comes with a DVD ripper, video converter and ringtone maker to make it easier for you to convert and transfer content. All these utilities run from the same window and share the same design. They are really easy to use and they seem to work quite well.
In short, Aiseesoft iPad Transfer is a very complete iOS backup utility. There are two versions of the app: Standard and Platinum. If you are a regular user, the Standard version is more than enough.
